Ducks possibly flying away??

I have 5 pekin ducks and 3 larger mallard looking ducks that can not fly. I rescued 4 mallards that CAN fly a couple months ago. They recently just started flying and today they were over the trees about 100 feet up. I also lost sight of them for a little bit. They have been with us and sleeping in the duck coop for a couple months now. Will they fly away and not come back?

That is a possibility. I had one mallard that stayed with us until he died. But others have had them fly away. The only way to make them stay for certain is to clip their wings.
