I do my day 12 dandling tomorrow before I go into lock down and since this is my first time, my question is what do you guys do with your bad eggs? Do you examine them to see if they started or not or do you just trow them out?

Thanks, Tim

By day 12 I dont bother to try to candle them. A person is free to do whichever he wants,
but for the most part ~chuckle~ there ain't anything in there I want to see.

I just toss them in the compost. All you can see from candling is fertile or infertile. If it lights up green it's empty (infertile) if you can't see anything then it is fertile. With coturnix eggs you can barely see when you are candling them, only well enough to decide if there is a chick in the egg or there isn't.

Edit to add: most of us do break open the eggs that don't hatch so we can see why those didn't. it's called an eggtopsy.
