I might hatch some chicks, but I am wondering whether I will need to vaccinate them.

I would be hatching to sell. Would it make a difference in sales if they are vaccinated?

It would probably be good(?) Especially if you plan to sell them.

Just a side note, be careful; it's rare, but in some places (like Maryland) they have a law stating you can't sell/give away/purchase chicks under 3 weeks old, unless from a registered hatchery. It's also illegal to get baby chicks with a week of Easter.

Thanks for replying. My problem is I would only have like 4 hens + a rooster. So atm 20 chicks per hatch. I have to buy a 20$ vaccine bottle to do 20 chicks. If I could buy it in smaller quantities I probably would, but I cannot find a small quantity.

I live in PA, I believe it is legal. Plus, like I said, I would be moving like 20 chickens a month.

Thanks!

It's up to you. I don't know how common Mereks actually is, so I can't say weather absolutely necessary or not, but I would recommend it.
