chick feeding

I have some week old chicks and cant go get more chick food intell tomoro evening the time I get home the feed store will be closed. can I feed my chicks layer crumble for 24 hours

Sure, just make sure it is small enough for them to eat, we don't want them to choke.

If you have crumbles there just smash it some and let the chicks eat. Why would you want to remove all food for 24 hours? I would do everything I could to not go that long without food. Will they die? Probably not, but from what you have posted, there is no reason not to give them something to eat. I recommend feeding the birds…
