You have lived here all your life, you've ran, swam, and climbed countless paw lengths, and you've lived peacefully. The herds leave and you make due with what you have, then the rains return and bring the herds, and you reap the rewards. Life is good, but that all changes when the rainy season doesn't deliver this year, and the drought is worse than ever, not only that, but the hyenas have become bolder. Encroaching more and more on others land, and they might be starting to outnumber even the lions-Will you make it through this year and truly be able to call yourself a survivor?

~ You can have as many charries as you like, but for the sake of others please keep track of them all, and use All of them

~ Your charries can have cubs/kits/pups, but under no condition may you go into any detail
~ If your charrie is in a fight, one blow per post please
~ Also, in a fight your charrie may dodge one out of every four blows. Remember, these aren't ninjas
~ Please no out of RP fighting, but if you have to, please do it through PMs
~ Be realistic. A cat can't 'instantly' heal from any injury, nor can one lion take down a fully grown elephant or giraffe, the largest a lone lion can catch is a warthog.
~During a timeskip I will post the amount of time skipped in large, bold letters.

There are five prides
Plains Pride: They are the fastest of the prides, and tend to prey on larger animals, they get the first pick of the herds. They prey on zebra, wildebeest, impala, gazelle, buffalo, and topi.
Forest Pride: They are the stealthiest pride, relying on this to take down prey, they specialize in ambushes and are good at climbing trees. Their prey includes warthog, porcupine, impala, giraffe, zebra, buffalo, baboons, and kudu.
Valley Pride: These lions are the strongest, depending on their strength to scale the rocks that make their home, they are aggressive towards others and hot tempered. They tend to hunt zebra, klipspringer, duiker, ibex, and baboons.
Marsh Pride: The lions that live here are the most skilled at swimming and traversing the boggy terrain, trusting the marsh to entrap their enemies. They hunt waterbuck, hippo, and animals that happen to be trapped in the marsh.
Desert Pride: The lions in this area are the hardiest, they also have the most endurance, using it to wear down their prey in the heat, they also tend to have lighter coats to blend in with the sand, they have come up with many ingenious ways to cope with the heat. They don't have much prey, but what they do hunt is gemsbok, oryx, and camels.
Other Territories:
Siri Jungle: Many animals live here that aren't on the savannah such as gorillas, chimpanzees, mandrills, bongos, and okapi, most of which fall prey to the leopards which inhabit the area.
Farmlands: The forbidden place, often times animals that travel there don't come back, many humans stay there, but the cattle are easy and worthful prey, it's high risk, but high reward.
The Deadwoods: What used to be lush scrublands is now a burnt down ghost forest completely empty of all life, the only living thing here being the occasional scavenger or dying animal.
Pride Ranks:
Leader: Usually one in a pride, sometimes two, if so then usually brothers, mates with all the females, and is the prides protector.
Lead Hunter:This is the most skilled lioness, she leads the hunts, only one per pride.
Hunter: Unlimited, they are the main body of the pride and the hunters.
Creche: Usually two to three in a pride, they take care of the cubs while the others are hunting.
Cubs: Unlimited, they are the future of the pride, considered cubs until one year of age, males are kicked out, females may leave if they want to.
Loner- A lion with no pride. They aren't always in the best condition, having to hunt smaller prey on their own if they don't pair up with another lion.
Leopards:
Solitary cats who will only be seen together as mother and cubs.They are the stealthiest of the cats, and use this to their advantage, they are the best climbers. Cubs leave the mother at one year of age.
Cheetahs:
These cats are extremely fast, and rely on it to catch prey, mostly solitary, siblings will usually form groups together. Cubs leave mother at one year old.
Caracals:
Smaller cats who live alone, they prey on rodents and birds, kits leave mother once they are one year old.
Servals:
Basically the same thing as caracals, except with bigger ears, a bit smaller, and more spots. Kits leave mother at a year old.
Hyena Clans: If you want to make your own clan it's first come first serve, I'll only allow five clans. Here are the existing clans so far:
Half Moon Clan
Clan Ranks:
Alpha Female: One. The head of the whole clan, what she says goes.
Hunter Females: Unlimited. Below the Alpha female, but above all the males.
Omega Females: Unlimited. Lowest females in the clan, still above males, abused by other females often.
Alpha Male: One. Head of the males, still below all the females.
Hunter Males: Unlimited. Below the females and Alpha male, above the Omega male.
Omega Males: Unlimited. Below everyone, have the worst conditions and beatings, given the smallest amount of food.
Pups: Unlimited. They are the future of the clan, considered pups until one year of age.
