Hi,

I saw some quail eggs for sale at the local farmer's market and bought some. They were being sold as eating eggs but I took them home and put them in the incubator. I have no idea if they are fertile. Do quail breeders generally keep males with the females throughout the year? I was also wondering if you guys could tell what kind of quail the eggs came from if I post a picture?

Thanks!

I dont know about the fertile thing but you could ask the people selling it or you could crack one to see if there is a bullseye. I only know coturnix are speckled but not very much about the other kinds of quail. Im kinda new too.

Ok, here is a pic of the eggs.
