How to control feed mess

I have all my chickens neat and not spilling any feed. But the geese are slobs. I've tried everything and they still get feed all over the place. Does anyone have suggestions on how to contain the mess?

This works well for my ducks and chickens for feed and water, maybe it would work scaled up for geese.

Do you think changing them to pellets would help as well?

I use metal and hard plastic goat feeders from TSC they work very well and since my chickens run with the geese and ducks it keeps them from climbing into the bowl and scratching the feed out. and pellets are suppose to be less messy.
