Hello,

Over the last several weeks I've slowly begun to start the process of preparing for winter/cold weather. I've closed off some of my chicken run to keep snow out of the area and have built a large feeder to house a large amount of feed (as to keep me from feeding them as often as I currently do). Since I am new to keeping chickens over the winter months I wanted to know if anyone had any tips...

My main concern has to do with water. I've seen many heated waters at the store but would LOVE something larger as to keep me from filling it daily or several times throughout the week.

Any ideas???

Please go to this thread for some great information on what others are doing prepping for winter:
