Can I put garlic in my chicks water?

Hi everyone I have a baby chick and I'm really worried that it will get sick so will it help if I put garlic in it's water or will it be too strong and cause sickness?

Sprinkle garlic powder on their food if you think they need the benefit of a anti fungal anti bacterial.

However I wouldn't do it unless you think their is an issue that needs treated. The anti bacterial qualities of garlic will kill healthy bacteria in their gut as well.

So if you are trying to promote health use probiotics instead. Get plain yogurt with live cultures and mix it with some feed or treats or get acidophilus capsules, break then apart and spread the powder on their food.

Then you want to promote healthy chickens and feeding them an anti bacterial unnecessarily is the opposite of promoting healthy chickens.

Sav a chick in the water for the first week and medicated starter crumbles is what we did/are doing.
