laying habits

Hi I'm new to this. We have a couple of chickens that are brooding now, will the other chickens stop laying if they are nesting in the box they all use to lay in?

Hello there and welcome to BYC!

You will need to add another nest box for the others that are not broody. You can use a cardboard box if you have nothing else. Put some bedding and fake eggs in there to temp them to use the new box. Yes, the others will still need to lay.
