broody chickens

I have 2 bantum chickens. they have stopped laying for about a month. the do not leave the nest. If I take them outside they run back in the coop and get in the nest. will this stop on its own? Is it because of winter and the cold? don't know what to do.

It sounds they are broody hens! It won't stop on its own. You have two choices you either: #1 Hatch eggs with them or #2 You break their broodiness. Here are some articles about both that will help you.
