Best Food?

Hello everyone! I'd mentioned I was new to here and was considering raising some chickens. I've been curious, what is the best food to start raising my baby chicks on? Is there any more wholesome or beneficial feed I should consider, or is there one particular brand everyone prefers? Thanks!!

I usually get the medicated purina feed. But this time I'm just getting the non-medicated starter feed they have at my tractor supply because I'm having the hatchery vaccinate the chicks for coccidiosis and marek's.
For you, I would recommend the medicated starter feed because something like coccidiosis can be devastating... I've lost so many chicks! The medicated feed is a preventative especially for coccidiosis.

Try to get a chick starter that has a 20% protein to start with then switch to a 18% during the grow period . Try not to use a start/grow there more of a grow ration then a starter
And use medicated
