10 chickens equals 1 dog

Hi folks - heard Joel Salatin at MEN Fair in Somerset last Sept and he said that 10 chickens equals the footprint/waste of 1 dog. I can't find this statement and/or "proof" after several google searches.

Anyone know where I might find this info? Or anyone have a video of the part of Joel's talk where he states that?

The term commonly used is animal unit. For example, a 1000# horse = 3 333# pigs= 10 100 sheep = 250 4# chickens. At least how the USDA used to do it......
