Barnevelder Blues

Hello!

Raising chickens for eggs has been a dream of mine for years now. Finally, it has become a reality. However, I didn't realize we are late to the game. I have been trying to find a breeder who I can purchase 4 Barnevelder pullets through but, have been unsuccessful not realizing the demand of these lovely ladies!! It seems like all of the sites are out of stock. If anyone has advice or direction on who might still have a handful to spare, I would be most grateful!!

The winter and spring is a terrible time to find mature stock. Most folks sold all their extras last fall. If you have located a breeder it may be best to wait till they have some so you get what you want.

Thank you for your response! That makes sense, seeing as how I've seen mostly eggs and chickies for sale right now. This gives me plenty of time to organize and reorganize all of my supplies! Lol
