First Timer

Three out of my seven chicks that hatched didn't make it. They stayed alive over 24 hours but have passed. I started with 18 eggs and my temp spiked one night at 111 degrees..... Didn't think any would hatch but they did. Thought this would be good experience for me and my daughter who is 7 but it has turned out kinda of gross and with the deaths happening it is very sad too. We have Orpingtons, a silkie and barred rock hens and some ducks. We love our lil farm but not sure about how we are doing in this new venture.
