Well im having so much trouble trying to tell if my silkies are hens or roos.I know one is a hen she is laying ,one is a roo he is riding ,the other the other roos are riding but no eggs.same hatch so not sure .
 
Males Usually
stand up straighter.
if bearded have less feathers around eyes so they can see better.
make "alert" noises when they hear an unfamiliar Sound.
Make alot of "Look Look Look" Sounds when you sprinkle feed at their feet.
Usually Crow but may not if not the dominate rooster in a group.

Not all female silkies lay eggs at the same time. If you have 3 silkie hens they may be each laying every 3rd day.
Some of MY silkie hens lay all winter but not in Summer. Some Lay only in the spring others only in the fall. Total for the year, Silkies only lay about 100 eggs.
