Help! Chicks jumping out of the brooder!

Hello!
I have 4 Rhode Island Red chicks and they are only 2 weeks old and already they are flying out of the brooder. The brooder is a pretty good size and they have plenty of space to run around.

Well, that's what chicks do. You can "put a lid on it" of whatever you have available. Or get a different/bigger brooder. They will gain elevation in the next few weeks. And they love to flap those wings.

Here is a small brooder that keeps em in. Just an idea. It worked well for me.

x2, you need a lid. An old window screen or some chicken wire or hardware clothe would keep them contained. They aren't fancy or pretty, but they'll do their job and most people have one thing or another just lying around.
