My 2nd batch of Quail just hatched

I was so excited when my little brother walked in and said, "Come have a look" "They are babies". I ran outside in my socks and looked. There were 4 dead ones

and 5 alive

. I was so sad. Two of them drowned because I had just gotten rid of the other younger ones and when they hatched they hatched over night so i couldn't get the water out. I knew she was sitting but I wasn't sure if they were good eggs because they still had some other younger ones. Yes, she started laying and sitting with the other chicks in there. Anyway, the other two on the other hand where still fluffy and dry and dead. But they were away from the nest and just laying there dead. What could cause them to die once they were hatched and away from the nest., I'm guessing it had already been walking before they died. If you know why, could you please help me?
