Least stinky quail feed

I have raised my few coturnix for 3 weeks now on Manna Pro feed. They have done well and the smell has been manageable. I purchased some Nutrena gamebird feed (all I could get) and the smell is horrible now. It is 28% protein.

What is the least 'stinky' poop producing feed that is available?

Different ingredients will definitely cause more or less stink. I have no idea which feed will lessen the stink. LOL

If you like this brand of feed, you might just add probiotics to the feed or water. These will help to control odors.

Ferment your feed, there is less poop, because more of the teed is actually digested. And the poop itself will have less odor to it.

I second the fermented feed. It's amazing how much the smell is reduced. I have four pet boy quail outside and I had to bring two of them inside. They just get dry crumbles. My three breeding groups inside get fermented feed. Those two boys from outside stank badly and attracted flies like you wouldn't believe! You can ferment anything and it's easy to do - just do a google search. It takes a little more effort but it is totally worth it!
