So I candled my 12 eggs today and 8 have veining. Should I keep other 4 a little longer ? I don't want to throw out a slow developer. Also one is cracked but has veining so I taped it not sure what else to do but wait see.

What day are your eggs at? You can keep the 4 in the incubator but, watch them and make sure you smell them next time you candle. If any start to smell toss it.

I'm on day 3 , longest three weeks ever I can see.
Oh, you are way early to be thinking of tossing anything.

Some eggs don't show signs of life until day 5 or more. I candle day 7 and set any that look like clears to one side of my incubator, then on day ten I take a second look at them and remove all clears. (I have never had an egg that I sat aside at day 7 start developing between 7-10, but I want to be dead sure.) So unless it is a blood ring/quitter or smelly egg, I wait until day 10, then after that I only remove apparent blood rings and smellies (I've only had two of those ever).
