How to control hen bugs? Are these bugs harmful for new born chicks? One day old chicks hatched by my hen.

Get some poultry dust from the feed store (permethrin) and dust the mama hen (not the babies) under wings and vent area (everywhere but face- I put some in an old sock). Take precautions so you don't breathe it yourself. Mask is good, long sleeves, gloves, take shower.

Repeat in 7 days. Also treat all your other chickens. Toss bedding and nesting materials and spray or dust coop with permethrin. Otherwise the bugs will come back.

Repeat application necessary to break life cycle of mites. 14 day repeat application needed for lice, and 7 days for mites.

Mites kill chickens.

Thanks for your advise. Hope this will resolve problem.
Anyway, this morning I lost eight of my one day chicks. Last night I saw them playing with mama hen in the morning, they all were found dead.
