Chicken Breeding Info needed

I am an intermediate in chicken 4-H and I am required to do a 10 to 15min long presentation. This year I have chosen to do a presentation on chicken breeding. I need all the info I can get. Here is a few questions.

1. What does a chicken breeder do?
2. How do you select your birds?
3. Are there any small Idaho breeders that I can contact?

Any other info is also needed. Thanks!!!!!!!
