Here's what we have so far. Chicken Castle faces the north. Think we'd be ok to make the draw bridge on the north side?

You are talking about the ramp for the hens right?
Facing North is fine unless you get a lot of blowing rain or snow coming from that direction. If you do you may need to put a portico over it to keep it out of the coop.

That's a great idea. I was thinking of having the overhang to the east, but if we did it over the door it'd add protection!

We were able to get the decking on the roof over the weekend. We'll be adding shingles as soon as weather will allow.

Also, we got the laying box roughed in. Needs dividers, shingles, and permanent supports but we're that much closer!

How long do I need to raise chicks before I can fill this thing? Or just brood em in the coop?

You can brood them in the coop but I like to brood mine where I can keep a closer eye on them. I put mine in the coop with a heat lamp at about 4 weeks.
