Leave the turner in or take it out on day 18?

I've been reading up on what to do differently next hatch and I can't find opinions.

I've been taking it out. I have huge temperature fluctuations at that point. :( I think that was part of my problem with this hatch.

Other than using using a second box (styrofoam) incubator just as the hatching box that I can have the temp set days in advance..... that is an option.

Just asking.

Thanks!

What kind of incubator and turner are you using?

I have always taken the turner out on day 18 with no issues or temp fluctuations. Leaving the turner in can potentially get a chick stuck or its leg caught, even if the turner is unplugged.

I have a Hova Bator and a Farm Innovator.

Both are the styrofoam box type.
