snacks for chicks about 8 weeks

i gave the babies a head of romaine lettuce on a string. they played with it all day and pecked at it till
it was gone. they have a big tray of food too.. my question is how often can they have romaine.

With their mother they would be out foraging on greens all day, so greens are safe to give daily. However, you want to start slow, as I hear birds can develop diarrhea if they eat too many greens all of the sudden.

thanks ill just give them greens a few times a week. they love spinach too. they grow so fast i cant believe it. what kind of watering system does everyone like?

My chicks have jar type waterers, the kind you find in most feed stores. My adults have the larger version of this as well as rubber livestock feeders, which are easier to break ice out of in the winter.
