Grassroots Battery hen rescue in Upstate SC

Let me know if I'm not in the right place, but I'm interested in connecting with like minded chicken lovers in my area to rescue "spent" battery hens. Maybe you can send me to the right forum. I know that a small grassroots group in the UK, Little Hen Rescue" was instrumental in getting the ordinances changed to outlaw Batteries in the UK and EU.
