I would like some feedback of what everyone thinks of the Buff Orpington and the Red Ranger as a layer or and meet?
They will be Free Range and my desire to be raised organic.
Any pro's and con's would really be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,

Nice blue heeler. I think the main con of free ranging is losing birds to predators or some two legged predators chicken napping them for dinner or their own flock.

Thanks, but that's not my dog YET but it will be in a couple of years.
Have talked to a breeder and she knows that I want one of her pups :)
I wish we could get her earlier but we want to wait until we retire and move so we can.
That's also why I have lots of questions about livestock of all kinds.
We will be more or less living off the land that we will be buying.
We will be getting chickens, ducks, turkeys, sheep, goats, steer.
Going to be as much off the grid as possible. have our own meat, milk, eggs and make cheese too.
and will be planting everything we want to eat.
Wish us luck :)
