Where do I trace an adjustable leg band on a hen?

I purchased a Brahma hen in VA from a local swap 2 weeks ago with a metal adjustable leg band, how do research to find hatch date/breeder of my girl? Thanks so much!!

Well, I do't think chickens have VIN (CIN?) numbers....lol!!
Bands are used by breeders/keepers for different reasons with any number of possible different markings on them if any at all. That info would have to come from who ever you bought it from.....not sure there's database out there for chickens.

It could also be from the state's Department of Agriculture too, to show the bird has been tested for whatever your state requires. Here it's AI and pullorum typhoid.
