Help, I recently acquired a flock of quail of 25 and just noticed some quail have growth around eyes. Egg production is only 4 a day. Not sure of the exact age of flock but would expect more than 4 eggs a day.

They apparently had this eye problem before I acquired them. They are in the same coop that I got them in. The coop has always been off the ground.

They are near the chicken coop but not in direct contact with chickens.

Is there any discharge at all at the noses or are the eyes bubbly at all? Coughing, sneezing? Is there any smell to the face or eyes? Any or all of these might indicate Coryza possibly MG. The Coryza would have come from the chickens as would the MG, although quail can contract MG from each other if you have added any new birds recently. MG will have no smell. The Coryza will smell.

Is the eye itself cloudy? This would indicate an eye infection.

No smell, no sneezing. Eye color looks normal. Besides the growth around the eyes They all seem to be acting normal other than only 4 eggs a day.
