HELP! Tylan 50 dose for sick pullet PIC of needle

I went to the feed store and they gave me tylan 50. I dont see dose for chickens. I have my sisters needles that are 1/2 cc a line. The pullet is 6 weeks old. She has a respitory cold and i need to give this to all the pullets from that pen. Can anyone help? The smallest dose on the box is for swine 4mg per pound or 1ml per 12.5 lbs. HELP!

Re: HELP! Tylan 50 dose for sick pullet PIC of needle

I'm not an expert but I searched and saw this:

Tylan 50 Respiratory antibiotic, 1/2cc subcutaneously and 1/2cc in the breast for 7-10 days to treat CRD.

found on: http://www.xtremegamebirds.com/Dosage%20Chart.html

I hope that helps.

Tylan 50
1/2 cc in breast for 3 consecutive days for adult sized birds.
1/4 cc in breast for 3 consecutive days for bantam sized birds.

Ok so 1/4 would be the right amount for this chick. Should i do 3 or 7 days?

If you have any diabetic 1 cc needles, I would give the "chick" .2 of a cc of tylan for 2-3 days.  I get mine at Walgreens.

Re: HELP! Tylan 50 dose for sick pullet PIC of needle

The needle is a diabetic needle it has little lines than it counts by 10's. The side mark says 1/2 cc so i assume each little line is a cc? The chick is the size of a bantam. So what should i give her?

The whole needle full is 1cc.  Each 10, 20, 30, 40 etc is .10 - .20 - .30 of a cc.  I think 1/2 of a cc is too much for a six week old bird.
