cabbage treat

Bought a cabbage today for the chickens............mmmmmmm good, they ate every last bit.

Yeah, mine love the greens too.......

I can't wait to see them racing around again in the spring eating bugs and grazing! yippiechickie......

I wonder if they get wistful for warmer weather or if they just know the now and have forgotten all about bugs and weeds and warm breezes and and and.........

ok , I'm having a cabin fever attack here..........

its been a gosh darn long winter th

Mine won't eat cabbage oddly enough because they eat any other kind of green I throw at 'em and I have never gavin myne meat..what kind of meat do yall feed em


I have 2 Americauna Hens, 1 Black sexlink Hen, 1 Red Sexlink Hen, and Four Leghorn Hens....with 1 maturing Americauna Rooster and 11 Pullets all at the farm I work on. www.greenangelgardening.com
I also have 5 silkie cochin chicks I am raising at our homestead with 2 LuvaBulls and my baby, Carhdee, my chiweenie. smile
I try to do this all while managing 5 full production organic Greenhouses.

No way could I ever feed my chickens, chicken, that is so gross I could gag thinking about it.  I have given them leftover vegetable soup with ground hamburger in it and they went nuts over it.  Mine love cabbage to, I hang it on a bungee and they work on it all day.  They also like collard greens and leftover green beans.  Right now they are pigging out before bedtime on wet layer mash mixed with wet scratch, they think that's a treat, lol! smile
