my ducks do not care for the peas either. but my male loves the ducks, he will back them in a corner and display at them with everything he has, as soon as they see an opening the ducks take off quacking up a storm.
its a male color develops slowly. he has burnt orange wing feathers. if this was a hen by now her body would be shades of brown with no barring on the feathers.
peachicks also hatch with wing feathers. and tail feathers. most other chicks (i dont know of any other that do , i could be wrong) hatch only covered in fluff.

oh and on another note. all of my birds are 2012 hatch except pearl so i know she has seen snow. and today we got snow for the first time. only about an inch . but i just opened the shed door for everyone. ducks came running...

white wing feathers = split to white / and/or pied birds. this means if bred togather (2 split to whites) you could get not only Ib offspring but also white or pied. depending on which they are split to .   white throat...
