I had heard here that silkies are not good for eating.  Today in a market flyer (from the Hong Kong market) they have silkie chickens for $7.99 each.  Needless to say I was surprised!!

Try hanging old cd's in the trees.  They don't like the colors in the sunlight.  Its worth a try!

I've used it several times too.  The sock idea is a great one!!  I just shook it onto the hen and also added to the dirt where the dust bathing takes place. It really works well.
