We are just going to stick with our flock.  No new birds.  I am going to keep a closed flock.

Everyone is ok and doing well.  Still getting eggs from the Marans.  Marilyn stopped laying a while back.

It looks great.  Lots of space.  I do not have any experience with smaller birds, but there is plenty of room there for bigger birds.  Given the amount of space you have, there is enough room for 20 + full grown hens...

A little contrast with the trim will make it pretty.  What color is the trim on your house?  No reason why you couldn't make it match the house.  I'm sure it would make your mother happy.

I have one other bird which I suspect may be ill.  I will watch her closely.  If she shows signs of trouble, I will have to put her down so she won't suffer like the first bird.  The rest seem ok, so, as long as they are...
