My chickens have NEVER roosted.. not for the whole year I've had them. They cuddle together on the floor of the coop. They also don't use the nesting boxes.

My cochins are very quiet even my rooster. but I think it is more the chicken's personality.

Arrggh.. I accidentally crushed an egg in my pocket. Inside of it was a small glob of thick bloody tissue. Was this a partially formed chick?? Or something else?

paper wasps are relatively harmless.. when they have larva in their nests they can get defensive but rarely aggressive.
