colour is important, but not as important as type and size, so it's essential that if you breed non-standard Orpingtons, to always choose type over the colour. To aim for both these factors in showing and breeding is the way forward....

Hi all I'm also working on a small lavender orpington project and being fairly new to it wondered if bringing the pure english lavenders into it would help get more size rather than back crossing to blues and blacks and getting splits ?...
by far the most entertaining auction post going on here...i'm tempted to bid but i'm too busy watching how this is gonna play out.

well put.  i just logged on and saw the auction ended, bummer.  hopefully, you will be re-listing soon.
beautiful birds.  what lines do you draw your stock from?
oh wow, just checked out your website and those blue olive eggers are gorgeous.  i need another incubator!
wow, look at that coloring, what a beautiful bird and i'm happy for you that she is feeling better. i'm really interested in your auction, but it means i would have to do a split hatch.  i'll pm you.
i wish my bator wasn't full.  i just bought some of these chicks and they rival the euskal oiloa for approachability and friendliness.  looks like you have a nice assortment of birds there, too.
