i don't blame the hatchery  because chicks are really fragile.  i just received my shipment the 6th of this month and 1 was dead out of 27 and 5 more died within a couple of days.  Now they are doing just fine....

the only ones the hatchery had were black sex links and ameraucana's...and the hatchery was strombergschickens... the first time i used them.. and all the chickens were alive and looking good.. all 25 of them!!  i'll probably use...

i used to have a lot of problems with the larger roos so i had to get rid of them.. it's a shame they are so beautiful but can be very aggressive... now i just stick to bantam roos.. they are too small to do any harm... i did have one...
