Thanks for the kind words, everyone.. He is doing well today and eating/drinking.. I'll keep a good eye on it and record weights as it grows.(I am avoiding "he" as I am hoping it's a hen..lol) Just to note, in case you get another...

I got the membrane off of it's eye. Both eyes are open and he's looking good.  He is actually double in weight of most of the others..

I had an interesting chick hatch yesterday.. It is yellow with brown stripes on it's head and back. The stripes are distinctive and run "front to back".. Anyone want to take a stab at what it's adult color might be? The parents were...
