my birds do fine on the layer including the roos.Its never been a issue. ya do need to keep the young ones out off it though. I think some folks just worry to much about the little things.to each there own.

got some new additions today. hatched out this morning. they are slw's and jersey giants. ended  up with 17 out of 20. not to bad eh.....
as with any chicken or byproduct there is always at least a trace. should always cook .
