You guys need to check out the "Swinging Bridge" restaurant in Paint Bank. Route 311 in Catawba. The food is really good and if you have children they would enjoy the Buffalo farms close by.

Hi...I too have been told that if I want  to raise 4 chickens I should order 8 as most likely some will die...sooooo, I ordered 8 to be delivered next week.  I am very worried  about their arrival as i have heard so...

Any one have any trouble with bears bothering your hive??  We are getting 3 nucs this weekend to start us off and we were told that we will need to put an electric fence around the hives for protection.  

They look great....I have 8 coming next week from Meyer and am very nervous about them making it ok ....yours seemed to survive the shipment well.   So do they always send an extra chick with the order??   Keep us posted on...

If you have been using this lamp and bulb over the last year then maybe it might not be the problem.   After reading on this forum about a month ago the toxic effects of some bulbs I had a really hard time finding a heat lamp bulb...
