Anybody looking for a RIR rooster? I have a couple that will be a year old in July to get rid of.
This is Patches our little Bantam cochin rooster. He is our 2 year old sons pet. He is even sweeter than our other cochins, and we love his color. What colors do you think he came from, and what color would you call this?
Thankscan't wait til little Benjamin hears his little Patches done good!!!
I also use an old CPU fan spliced into an old cell phone charging cord. My homemade incubator holds 30 eggs, and is a cabinet style also. Any size fan should be fine as long as it circulates the air a little.
Just put 18 barred rocks in the incubator this morning, lets see how it goes. I am still using my old homemade cabinet style incubator that does so good.
Hatched 5 BRs a month ago, one of our silkies hatched 5 two weeks ago...4 silkies and an accidental RIR chick , and just put 18 BR eggs in the incubator this morning. Oh, and 5 buff orpington babies a month old...sheew I...
We got to the Kingsport swap around 10:00. There was still quite a bit there, but I did see alot of empty cages. I had to work Saturday night, or we would have set up to sale. We did end up buying 5 buff orpington pullets about a month...

Definitely make it tall enough to stand up in, its way to hard to clean out if you have to stay bent over.
