I got my neighbor to come and help me and I did what you said. A huge glob of mangled grass came out  his crop feels much better now but he is still moping around and isn't eating 

Oh my goodness I just went and checked, his crop is the size of a baseball and is is as hard as a rock! what do I do???

this morning I went outside to let out my chickens and my little buff orpington rooster was sitting on a roost looking kind of mopy, his comb is kind of pale and droopy. WHAT IS GOING ON????
