dsfrango,  I'm wondering if your chicks are Barred Rocks at all. They look more like Cuckoo colored. Here is a pic of a BR cockerel and pullet. If they are not really barred, then we could be wrong about the sex.  

Lovely chicks! Do post some close ups. Meantime, here are my new ones. They are so tame it was tough getting a good shot without them crowding into the lens. :)    

    Here's the little rooster on the left and the hen on the right. The rooster is lighter, has a large red comb, and his tail is rounder and shorter.  

HE is a Barred Rock Bantam. I'll see if I can get some pics of my little ones that are that age so you can see the difference in pullet and cockerel.

They are Easter Eggers. Ameraucanas come in a few standard colors. EE's can be any color or mix of colors. (Miss Priss is a Mr. Priss.  )

Does she have 5 toes? Dorkings do.
