I did take the plastic up between the 2 coops to allow more visibility between the 2 groups.

Trying to introduce these 2 to These 6.  Put one of the new ones into the pen with the older ones and an older one just about picked up the younger one when she went after it.  They are in adjacent pens but the chick...

This one could not stand up or use its legs and I culled it tonight.  Been a hunter over 30 years but never did anything like this without a gun or bow.  Wasn't too bad, but I raised these for meat.

Think I had it in the boiling water to long, looks like the meat started to cook and the skin pulled off.  Now in a old plastic ice cream tub in the fridge with saran wrap over it for tomorrows dinner.

Bleeding out now, water heating up.  Still not sure what happened to it, it's legs didn't work but the wings flopped in the cone after I cut off its head.

Gonna go make a cone out of some old racing plastic I have, then start a pot of water to boiling outside.  Will there be a problem eating this bad leg bird?

That's the one with the leg problems, not sure how it made it too that side of the pen, wasn't there this morning. Any Idea on the sex of the barred roc?

I have one that I think has a bad leg now, cant seem to get up, should I go ahead and butcher it now?  Its about as round as a big canalope or a very small watermelon.  Keeps its head up and is alert just seems like one...

The barred rocks seem to be the bullies.  only 11 birds in that coop.

The feeder maybe.  I have 2 barred rock chicks in there with the other 9 Cornish crosses I have.  They are in a 4x8 x3 coop in the garage.
