So sorry to hear this!  When my chicks a few weeks old as well my dog (Boston Terrier) got at them while they were having some free time outside.  He shook one and I thought for sure she was dead.  It took almost 2 weeks...

Maybe just pour concrete around the edges and out 12 inches.  Then the chickens will still have lots of scratching dirt to look for bugs and the concrete will deter any digging predators.
