I would put the dead chick in the egg in the trash to dispose of it. If you put it in the trash can it will start to stink.
I know what you mean! I had one of my ducks go broody about a month ago and I had 2 chickens go broody several days ago. Unfortunately one of my broody hens died yesterday. (The other is still sitting.) R.I.P. Clover~~~I love you, girly!
