I need to pick yall's brains for a moment if I could. We have 4 hens (3 Speckled Sussex, 1 Cornish? Bantam) A week ago I went out and closed the door not checking the count as they had been so good about going in at night on their own....
Still waiting on our first eggs here ^_^ Our hens have been creating their own nests outside of the built nesting boxes but not laying yet. One of their siblings who went with my mom has laid her first two so I'm keeping an eye out. 
Fantastic! I'd love to go to his farm.    Our neighbor's hen has her first eggs, the boys are already excited for ours to start laying even though we've got a ways to go. *chuckles* 
Well, we had our very first chicken loss last night. Went out to close the coop and found my Brahma bantam girl. She'd gotten out of their temp yard and something got her.    I know what I'll be keeping an eye out for now...
Thanks ^-^ The boys will be happy to hear Daisy gets to stay. We unfortunately cannot have roosters in our area, otherwise I wouldn't mind either way!

Hi all! I have read what I could so far of the thread and think I have a Brahma on my hands, but feel free to send me to another thread if I'm wrong!    I have a chick who's in between 5 and 6 weeks old who I was hoping...
