I agree that another necropsy would be helpful. I had 4 necropsied to make SURE that everything was caught. and only 2 of the 4 actually had the underlying issue/disease. The other 2 showed the same symptoms but had a less dramatic...

wow! those zulu chickens need their own thread! they are amazing! they remind me of Aseel here in the US. She doesn't look sick, but she could still be a carrier. so No Thanks, not gonna risk my few girls I have.  

no worries :) I have been going through some challenges myself, and I TOTALLY get the stress. I am glad it looks like you have figured out the source...this summer has been pretty brutal to a lot of chicken peeps.

sorry-I wasnt accusing you of starving your birds. I apologize if it came across that way. It is possible though that this guy was being blocked from feed maybe by a bigger bird?

sounds to me like they are saying that something was wrong with the feed-either not enough or it was bad, and that the cocci, while present, wasnt the source of death. The feed or lack of it was. So get new feed, and your birds will be...

and since I posted this last....she has been back again, and just hatched out 8 babies 2 days ago. She is a MACHINE! Glad I didn't take her though...so many illnesses out there :/ Another update...a family dollar was erected since...

I have about 25 birds, and I am moving in a month where I can't take them. I had some sick birds, that I eventually sent for necropsies. Out of the 4, one possibly had MG and I am waiting for the final results. If this is positive,...
