Is it ok to urn off the chicks heating lamp at night so it isnt so bright for them and me?  its 70 degrees in my house all day and night. also there are 3 chicks in the cage.

it is just trying to stand up. ive never done this before and am worried. the cord is still attached to the egg and chick is rolling around with th egg and cord. but right now she is asleep.

how long should i wait to cut the umbilical cord? i dont want it to bleed to death. and i already lost 1 to premature hatch.  PLEASE HELP!!!
