To bad you arent closer to us. We have 540 acres. :(
Luckily we dont have the hopper issues out here...however we have pocket moles and ground squirrels that decimate everything!
Grass, and gophers. Needless to say this isnt what we feed them but as free range chickies they eat what they want and these are good eatings for them I suppose. Odd things.  
You sound like me, but you have me outed on the chickens.. We are 30+ chickens right now...30 more on the way 2 indoor dogs 1 Ranch dog 150 cattle100 quail 2 horses 9 barn cats are looking into goats and have a HUGE...
You will know. Amazingly these little guys all have different personalities..you will be able to tell them apart in no time :)
I agree with the Frizzled Serama, but keep in mind when you order, trade etc for frizzles as baby chicks, there is no guarentee you will get the frizzle, or the sizzle. :)
I have this little lady, well her breed that is. Looks like you have an EE there. Chubby and Fluffy, we named ours Chunk after the movie Goonies :)
We have touched, handled, played with, talked to, sung to, our chickens since they were 24hrs old. We give them all the same attention, some love it, some dont. But they dont get a say so in it. We have chickens aged 5yrs(adoptees) and...
